Monterey to Ft Ord - 14 miles (7 out/back) on the Monterey trail. Approximately a ~2 hour run total, mostly paved, more uphill on the way out.
Loop around PG - 10 miles+ loop, mostly on the Monterey trail through Fishermans wharf, Custom House area, along Ocean View Blvd beyond Lovers Point and Asilomar, take 17 mile drive to Lighthouse in central PG, follow Lighthouse back to the trail at Prescott down to the Aquarium. Return via the trail but climb the hill at Scott street to Van Buren just past the parking garage.
17 Mile Drive Loop - 10 miles to the Hwy 68/1 intersection, 1 mile+ back home. Sounds like fun, mostly flat along the coast then uphill in the last mile.
Skyline-Hwy 1 Loop - 5+ miles up Jefferson and onto Skyline road to Hwy 68, south to Hwy 1, East on Hwy 1 back to Monterey at Munras St, return via Pacific street. One big uphill, then downhill nearly the entire way back after peaking onto Hwy 68 from Skyline.

There is a 10.3 mile stretch of dirt road which semi-parallels Highway One and runs between the northern end of Bixby Bridge and lets out across from Andrew Molera State Park in Big Sur. If offers breathtaking views of the coast from atop high peaks as well as lush green ferns and towering redwoods growing next to a fast running creek. Wildlife is abundant in this area and you might spot wild turkeys, deer, bobcats, and mountain lions as well as the numerous cows that graze here.
